CONTINUATION OF THE HOUSE

They also put light switches in the weirdest places the master bath lights were inside the master closets and were moved to out side the closet instead of in the bathroom. The closets are so small I will post pics soon. You have to walk across the room to get to a switch and the switch to control the downstairs hallway is upstairs, and not to mention we have already had to have the downstairs a/c unit fixed. In the Jack and Jill bath downstairs there only a light switch on one end and no light switch for the hallway except by the entry door. The entry tile does not match the hard woods. This may be why the show was canceled.

New Home

This is going to be a different kind of blog today but I really wanted to share it. I recently moved into a home built by a Show called "Renovate my Family" hosted by Jay Mcgraw some of you may remember it, it was short lived a knock off of Extreme Home Makeover basically. This home is 7 years old now from my research I have learned that it has been foreclosed on twice since then the family that they built it for moved to Pensacola, Fl. not sure if they lost it or sold it. It was built for them because their house burned. Anyway, I have been checking everything out in it, it was built to be a smart house, well nothing works the master unit for the intercom and speaker system was ripped out, wires have been cut, there are wires hanging out everywhere, the main wires are so jumbled up you can't tell what's going on I have never seen such a mess in my life the alarm system which is ran off of the same panel as the lights and temperature cannot be figured out because no one knows the code. It has  an AVG Legacy stove in it, only one side of it works the technician who looked at it said it needs to run on a 240 watt and theres only a 220 so my question is did they build the house so that could not even use the oven??? the dishwasher which is some European brand is broke and the technician states that he can't find the parts to fix it looks like the people who lived let their kid jump on it and break the door. The origional refrigerater was taken, don't know if the" Blankenship"s took it or the" Etal'"s after them, the fireplace does not work and their is no opening to light the pilot light. They actually removed the intercom out of the master bedroom it as if they thought they were being watched. So we have  alot of cool stuff that we don't know how to use and it's going to cost a fortune to get it all working. Also someone took the mantel down. Other than that it is a beautiful home with a beautiful story, I cant wait to get it all working. I wish I could get in touch with these people and ask them some questions but I'm sure they would think I'm a stalker.

Review Of The WEEK!!!

Sonia Kashuk Perfecting Luminous Foundation....

I bought this foundation with high hopes, But sadly I was very disappointed. First of all it was a little sticky, and worked terrible on my dry skin, it did not illuminte at all but made me look very matte, and not dewy. Second of all, the packaging is the worst I've ever seen, why would you put a pump on it when you can't even stand it up??? Third, It is a rip off it's kind of expensive and not alot of product at all. So this definately gets a thumbs down, and I will not be purchasing again.

Review of The Week!!!

"Rimmel Lash Accelerater"  I tried this mascara after My lashes started breaking off and getting thin. I gave this product 30 days to work. My lashes do seem a little thicker and longer...but is it 117% I think not. As far as how they look when wearing the mascara I'm not so crazy about it. I noticed the change without mascara. So after wearing this masara for 30 days I have to say I have reverted back to my Maybelline Full and Soft which is my absolute favorite.

Review of The Week!!!

"Redken Outshine O1"  anti frizz polishing milk.  It is an amazing product, so amazing my husband and I fight over it. I works great on my hair at holding the frizz down and my husband doesn't even use gel when he uses it. I put it on before blow drying. It works best when combine with Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner. But it works good with other shampoo and conditioners too.

Review of The Week !!! 3/18/2011

This is a review on Physicians Formula "Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Gel Cream Liner." I have the one for "Green eyes" It comes in 3 custom shades, black, green and purple. So I tried all three colors at different times and I must say I was extremely impressed, as I have a hard time with eyeliners staying on me for any length of time and this stuff stays on all day and into the night. It comes with a little application brush, and it doesn't take much at all, it was easy to apply and looks like a liquid eyeliner.
So this will definately be my go to eyeliner in the summer time. It beats Maybelline eye studio gel liner, because of the non-smudging staying power.

Review of The Week!!! 3/11/11

In the spotlight this week is "Farouk (Chi )Royal Treatment white truffle and pearl Hairspray"  sounds more like something you eat right? Well, It smells like it too ,actually it smells like a fruity cocktail. So I picked this up at the urging of my hairstylist daughter. I have been on the hunt for the perfect hairspray for years, and well it's not perfect but it's pretty good,  I bought the Ultimate Control. It holds with out feeling sticky or drying out my hair it's touchable, and flexible so if your looking for a hard control hairspray where you hair does not move then this is not for you. My two daughters and I  liked it very much. One has asian hair, and one has oily hair, while I have dry hair. Though "Chi" products rarely disapoint.  Hope you check it out.

Happy Reviewing.

Review Of The Week!!! 3/4/2011

This weeks review is: "Physician's Formula Bronze Booster" I bought it at Target on clearance just to try out. And I was pleasantly surrprised. I got the one in light to medium, because yes I'm a pale face,  except when I use St tropez tan, Oops this review is not about them. So...this bronzer is by far the best one I have ever tried it is beautiful, natural looking color and  It lasts on my dry skin, it makes you look like you just came back from a beach vacation, I hope it is not dicontinued becasue I am in love!

REVIEW OF THE WEEK!!!! 2/25/2011

This weeks review is on Loreal HIP eyeshadows. I have very sensitive eyes and have a hard time wearing purples, but let me say I was able to wear these shadows all night with no irritation. The colors were very deep and pigmented and lasted all evening. So this review equal up to Amazing and I can't wait to try more colors.

Review of The Week!!! 2/18/11

This is a review for Victorias Secret Beachsexy Adjustable Self-Tan lotion. I am fair skinned and I started with the darkest dial, it turned me very dark with some rusty spots which was probably due to the color being to dark for my skin tone, so I will be testing the other shades and will do a further review on those. The fading period did not do well for me either, after a couple of days it was almost gone and splotchy, again it could be due to it being to dark for my skin tone. So for this shade I was not impressed. The smell was the best thing about it,  it smelled great and did not ever get that self tanner smell which is a plus for me. I got a pedicure the next day and sad to say that my tan embarrasingly came off on the white towels. We'll see what the other shades do before giving a total bad review though.

Revlon Colorstay

I have very dry, fair skin so I have had a hard time finding a drugstore foundation due to the fact that you cannot test it first. I purchased Revlon Colorstay with softflex in 180, sand beige, for dry skin and was very impressed it stays put in humidity and does not rub off on clothes, and stays all day long without drying my skin out. It was medium coverage the color worked great on me. You do have to work with it quickly though. My daughter also purchased it in oily/combination and loves it, it works great on her skin also. This will definately be my go to foundation especially in the summertime. Warning!!! if you accidently drip it on your clothes it is hard to get out, have a tide pen handy if your putting your makeup on already dressed.

Review of the week! 2/11/11

St. Tropez bronzing mousse self tanner. I am fair skinned with green eyes and dark brown hair (not naturally)
and very dry skin so I was a little skeptical using a mousse. When you first put it on it is very dark and gives you a nice color, it drys very quickly, with very little transfer to clothing. When you shower it is a lighter tan when the bronzer rinses off, you end up with a nice bronze glow not orangey at all the only self tanner I have ever used that did not turn me a rusty color. The fading process is a plus, especially with dry skin I always end up splotchy it takes about 4 days and fades very naturally. The tanning smell is still there though, not as bad as some I would say that is the only downfall. Overall a great product, I look forward to trying more St. Tropez products.
